Harris County Judge Ed Emmett will meet with more than 150 fourth-grade government students at West University Elementary School on Friday morning to talk about his career in state, local and federal government posts. Judge Emmett will also take time to answer students’ questions about his experiences as Harris County judge, Texas state representative and U.S. Interstate Commerce commissioner.

Emmett was invited to speak to the students as part of their studies on Texas government. As part of their studies, the students also will be traveling to Austin next month, where they plan to visit the offices of state Sen. Joan Huffman and state Rep. Ellen Cohen.
