Harris County Judge Ed Emmett and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner will co-host a community summit on Wednesday to discuss potential joint solutions to various animal control concerns, including overpopulation, sheltering, adoptions and jurisdictional problems.
Officials with city and county animal control and public health departments will attend, as well as representatives from approximately 20 community animal-care groups.
