JUDGE EMMETT ANNOUNCES
HE WILL SEEK A THIRD TERM IN 2018
Harris County Judge Ed Emmett announced to his staff this afternoon that he intends to seek a third full term as county judge in November 2018, in what he expects to be his final political campaign.
Emmett was appointed county judge on March 6, 2007, following the resignation of former County Judge Robert Eckels. He was elected to finish the remainder of that term in 2008, and elected to full terms in 2010 and 2014.
Emmett’s current term expires Dec. 31, 2018.
